Lake Chaparral Kayak Kids Camps 2024
Kayak Kids by Alberta Sprint Racing Canoe Association is the best way to introduce your child to kayaking. Children connect with nature while building their confidence on the water in a fun environment.
Lake Chaparral is the ideal place to begin or improve your kayaking skills. Paddlers launch their mini surf ski boats from a calm beach as they learn skills, play games throughout the week they will gain the confidence to paddle around the lake. On the last day of the session, paddlers will show off the new skills in a fun regatta (competition). Safety is our main priority, we provide ASRCA endorsed coaches Certified in First Aid and CPR and with the Canadian National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and CanoeKayak Canada (CKC).
Safety: Participants must have a Swim Level of Aquaquest 6 and/or demonstrate equivalent (Canoe Kayak Canada Standard). PFDs are required at all times.
