A DAY IN THE LIFE
For the 2025 Canada Summer Games, the Newfoundland and Labrador Host Society is running a "Day in the Life" series where they highlight a day in the life of past or potential upcoming Canada Games athletes.
You can participate! The goal is to create fun and engaging social media content to build excitement for the 2025 Canada Games.

What would we need from you?
We have two options for you to record A Day in the Life.
Option 1 – Record your ‘day in the life’ clips in your TikTok account. You can include a voice-over or in-app music. Once finished you can download the video and email it to amurphy@2025canadagames.ca
Option 2 – Record your 5 to 6 individual clips which we will put together for you. Once the video is put together, we will send it back to you for a voice-over clip or we can add in-app music instead.
The video will need to be filmed vertically with your phone
Your video should total 45 – 60 seconds, with each scene lasting between 8-10 seconds.
If possible, make sure to include clips of yourself in the videos, including your face. This will help connect with the audience! Ensure that your face is early in the video, so that people connect with you right away.
Take as many videos as possible throughout the day so we can piece together the best ones.
You should introduce your daily routine in chronological order. The key to a great video is to highlight a mix of your lifestyle and working routine/environment.
If you would like to be tagged in the video, please provide us with your TikTok handle
If you are going to include text in your video, it will need to be translated to English and French - if you would rather, we can translate this for you
Include your username for Instagram/TikTok if you would like to be tagged in the videos upon posting
Some things you can include would be:
wake up routine, show pet, going to school/work, practice, favourite warm up, game day rituals, pre game meal, game day clip/team meeting, post-game celebration
Please submit your video content within the next two weeks. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with us at amurphy@2025canadagames.ca.Thanks & have fun!
