The Alberta Sprint Racing Canoe Association (ASRCA) serves as the provincial governing body to promote and develop the sport of Sprint Canoe/Kayak in Alberta. ASRCA will hold Alberta Team Trials events (ABT2) as part of ongoing monitoring of the provincial sprint canoe-kayak athlete pool. ASRCA may utilize results to identify athletes for provincial initiatives.

1) Event Details

• Location – Calgary Canoe Club
• Date – Sunday, Oct 1, 2023
• Events – C1 and K1: 200, 1000 races and 2000m Time
• Registration at asrca.com  
      – Open Sep 14, 2023
      – Due by Sep 26, 11:59 pm
      – Late entries may fill empty lanes until Sep 30^th, 3pm.
      – Entry Fee: $50 with lunch / $40 no lunch
                          $60 late entry (if space permits)

2) Purpose
a) Establish discipline and overall provincial athlete ranking lists
b) Monitor the state of the competitive provincial population (Depth of Field Inventory)
c) Provide competitive opportunity.

3) Eligibility
a) Open to ASRCA club members of all ages who are in good standing with the ASRCA clubs.
b) Athletes must be current competitive members with Canoe Kayak Canada (RAMP Registration).
c) Entries must have the endorsement of a Sprint Canoe Kayak Coach (ELCC minimum). Coaches should use sound judgment as athletes must complete the course within the scheduled time.
d) Athletes may enter Canoe or Kayak but not both.
e) Club uniforms are not required.
