Funding Opportunities for Athletes
ASRCA Athlete Grants
The Alberta Sprint Racing Canoe Association is proud to announce we are investing in Alberta athletes who are excelling in national competitions and attending international competitions representing Team Canada. This programming has been made possible through the Government of Canada, with the support of the Ministry of Sport and Physical Activity and Recreation.
All athletes receiving an ASRCA Athlete Grant must:
-
Be a permanent resident of Alberta.
-
Be a current member, in good standing, of an ASRCA Member Club.
-
Be a sprint canoe/kayak athlete.
There are 3 types of athlete grants available: National Team Trials, CKC Sprint National Championships, and International Competition.
National Team Trials
An athlete will receive one $500 grant for placing top 6 in a singles event (C1 or K1) at National Team Trials (NTT) in sprint canoe/kayak. Distances of 200m, 500m, and 1000m in C1 or K1 as well as Para C1 or K1 events are eligible. There will be a maximum of one $500 National Team Trials grant per person per calendar year.
